Cologne

We have had our first flip in an airplane and spent our first hours in a hotel. At just less than 2 months we have visited another country. Germany and Randi's yoga school which is in the lovely city of Cologne, on the Rhine river.

The experience at the airport was full of challenges and learning. We (the parents) have a couple of things we would like to do differently, but it was generally o.k.
Sometimes we feel it would all be a lot easier if we had a few extra arms and hands and I think we will be feeling like this for a number of years to come. So "Get used to it!!".

The hotel was very friendly and helpful and we got a very nice, big suite incl. microwave oven and stove. This is great when you need to boil milk for bottles etc.

Randi did a very light yoga practice for the first time in many months and was so happy to get back into it! She has regained some waining interest and yoga inspiration. Everyone at the Yoga school was wonderful and helpful and accommodating! A very BIG thanks to every body!!!!

Warren took the cool baby push-chair and did some long walks in the lovely, big park just south west of the school. The Autumn sun shone all day long, and the children slept...as long as I walked...so I walked and walked and walked!

We didn't get to see the Rhine river or the famous 'Dom' church due to a huge political march in the city. This will have to wait to next month in Cologne.

Cologne

We're off to Cologne, Germany, this weekend!!

Randi resumes her yoga training at the school in Cologne and the babies need their food from her, so she needs someone to look after them. I go too!

Will report back about how the trip goes.

Wish us fun and games in Cologne. The old Rhine city, with lots of history.

Many Faces

We feel that this blog has been a little fraudient up to now. It has only told half of the tale. We would like to now bring you the WHOLE trueth!!

Both Victoria and Hamilton do NOT only smile and look happy, they do, sometimes scream and cry (believe it or not).

To follow are a few of the 'Many Faces' of (first) Victoria and then Hamilton.

Passports - end results

You will remember the funny photos of the twins which had to be taken for their passports...(see previous post).

Well, we have now received the two Passports which have photos, "height", and eye colour (among other things)!!
These travel passports are valid for SIX (6) years!!!!

And here they are; Our two(2), one(1) month old globe trottelers ;)

And here Dad is explaining how we are going to fly in an airplane to Germany next weekend!

1 Month Today

CONGRATULATIONS

Today, the 2nd September 2008, Hamilton and Victoria celebrate their first month 'out'.

They feel that they are starting to get the hang of this 'life' thing...
Eat as much as possible; sleep when they want to and crave as much attention as they want to, with no regard to Mom or Dads needs for sleep, food or anything else...

Well, this is easy! We should have done this a long time ago...!

To be a little more serious:
The twins are behaving exactly as they should. They are putting on weight; they ARE eating as much as they can; they do crave a lot of attention, but on the other hand, they also sleep quite well.

There are not many extra minutes in the day after they have been fed and changed and burped and then changed again, for other activities. This blog, for example, will be updated only when those precious moments present themselves and we don't NEED to sleep.
So be patient. Updates will come.

Wish us all a happy 1st month!
