What's in a name...?

Victoria Florentine Probst Linde – Dad’s family name is ’Linde’, Moms family name is ’Probst’.
Randi’s mothers name is Florentine and we think it is a pretty name.
We don’t know any particular ‘Victorias’ but after thinking about it for a long time and thinking of a lot of “girl names”, we decided that Victoria was a beautiful, strong, yet poetic name for a girl and also for a grown woman.

Nils Hamilton Probst Linde - Dad's family name is ’Linde’, Moms family name is ’Probst’.
Hamilton was the name of one of Warren’s forebears (from the 1800’s). Again we think this is a name which sounds good to the ear. It is not hard but full of strength and poise.

Nils…This one takes some explaining…

The first born son of Warren’s family has always had the name Nils. In my case Warren Nils, my father Nils Alec, grandfather Nils Ivor, Nils August, etc, etc. So it is an honour for us to be able to call our first born Nils Hamilton.

There is a catch though…!! This boy will NOT be called Nils…!?
“What?” You may think.
No, he will be called Hamilton and the “Nils” is just an extra name. This has always been so in my family.

So really one would talk about Victoria and Hamilton (not Victoria and Nils) and that, my friends, has a wonderful ring to it! Don’t you think so?
